WE GOT LOST IN
THE MOUNTAIN
Last summer, I went to camp out with the Escoltes of la Pobla de Segur. We stayed one week in a field in Ribera de Cardós, small town
in Pallars Sobirà.
One day, my friends of my group and I went to do an excursion without
monitors. We had to go for one route around the river and the road, but we
didn’t chose the correct track and we started to climb up a big mountain. We
didn’t read one poster correctly and we went for the bad track. In one poster put
1’9 km for Ainet de Cardós, and at the other put 23 km for Ainet de Cardós, and
we choose the large route.
When we didn’t have a lot of track to arrive at the top of the mountain,
we saw that we didn’t choose the correct direction and we had to down it. We wanted
to cut the track and we did a short-cut, but there were some bees and they bite me.
Finally we arrived where the track starter. We were very tired because we
walked a lot, and then our monitors took us to the town where we had to sleep.
The next day, when we returned at the camp, we went for the correctly track and we
didn’t get lost, we read well all the posters.
I was very tired, but happy because we had good moments when we were
climbing the mountain. It wasn’t a bad experience but if I can, I will not want to
repeat.
