A NATURAL DISASTER

Dear diary, 

Citiziens from la Pobla have recieved a text message today announcing us there is going to be a strong storm in the next two days. It's been predicted by the scientists this morning. They say that the storm will cause a flood and we will have to stay at home to be safe. 

My parents are now in the supermarket buying enough food for the next days. You'll be thinking why we don't live home. Scientists say it won't be enough dangerous to leave home.

The good thing is that I won't go to school in a few days.

I'm not afraid, I'm just nervous for everything could happen. I just want mine and my parents' safety.

There is a telephone number which we can call if we see that something isn't going well and emergency instructors are going to give us some advices. So I trust them because they are experts on this and they really know what they have to do.

My family and I are going to have enough food and water to try to survive.

I hope it all goes well,,.

AN EARTHQUAKE!

You won't believe what happened. There was an earthquake. At 5 o'clock, I went to my house with my brother, and my mother said: ''I was listening to the radio and heard that, there was an earthquake in the city of Cambrils''.

My mum was a bit worried because we had some friends there. We tried to phone them but there was no answer. We turned on the TV to watch the news and they were talking about the earthquake.

Fortunately, they said that it had been an earthquake of a very low magnitude. Two hours later our friends called us and they said that nothing had happened to them.

IT'S A DISASTER!

Last year in my village, la Pobla de Segur there was a tornado.The televisions gave information

to the people to prevent more disasters. Some of the information was that they could not leave


home, they should turn off the electricity, they had to close the windows and they had a flashlight


for after the tornado.

The tornado started at 2.00 o'clock. I was at home with my mother, my father, my little sister and


my dog Uka. First, the tornado started very slowly and it didn't collaps homes, it destroyed trees


and some electric cables. I heard a lot of cries of young people and then I heard a little girl in the 


street and then I went fast to collect the girl with the aid of my father. The wind was very strong 


and they flew many things. Then I closed the street door and up fast with the girl and we went 


under the bed.
The next day I opened the window and I saw a lot of collapsed houses, some people 

injured, some animals trapped under the cars but me and my family was safe. I was 

very happy because we survived, but I was sad because Pobla had been destroyed

UNDERSEA EARTHQUAKE

I went on Christmas holiday with my brother and my cousins to Indonesia. we had to wait long for it to arrive that day, because our holiday coincided not until Christmas.
We went to the island of Sumatra in western Indonesia and almost surrounded by the Indian Ocean.
It was a beautiful island three days on the island with many beaches, trees, small houses,...
We had only three days on the island, when suddenly everything started to vibrate. My brother went to buy food, my cousin was taking a shower and I watching TV. We both very scared because we didn't know what happened. My cousin came out of the shower quickly and got under a large table in the living room. Suddenly we feel a lot of noise from outside  and started to cry and mourn because we thought we were going to die.
After 10 long minutes, everyone calmed down. Then my cousin and I decided to head out to see what happened.
When we left we saw everything destroyed, houses on the floor. People screaming, trees everywhere and the saddest dead people. Then we decided to help injured people. There were many disoriented children and crying and I found my brother also wounded.

More than 280.000 dead and many injured.

I can't believe what happened. There was an incredible earthquake in my town this morning.

I woke up early because my sister was making noise, so as I was bored, my father and I decided to go shopping because we didn't have anything to eat for lunch. We left home at 12 am and we took our car to the center, because we live in the outskirts of the village. We e¡were buying quietly when suddently, we noticed a strong movement. Then, we heard a lot of noise. We looked around us and we saw many people shouting. They left the store quickly and my father and I did the same. And just when we crossed the door of the store, the building collapsed. We saw around us and there was an incredible landslide. There also were a lot of people trapped in their houses and many injured people. There was a lot of noise in the street. And then, I remembered my family. They were OK? I asked it to my father and he took his mobile phone immediately. We waitedfor the answer. I wished they were good. And at the moment, my mother answered. Fortunatelly, the earthquake had not reached the outskirts of the town.

We are ones of the survivors of this eartquake and I still can't believe it!

IT’S A DISASTER

Dear diary,

Yesterday there was a disaster in my village, an earthquake happened. It was horrible. The earthquake happened in the morning, at seven o’clock while I was sleeping. It wasn’t very dangerous but some old houses were collapsed. My house and my grandfather’s house are okey because they are newer than the others. This earthquake was 4.5 on the Richter scale, so it wasn’t very destructor. 

There wasn’t any killed people but someone was injured. My brother broke one leg, my aunt lost a little of blood from the head and some people like me had scrapes in all the skin. Tomorrow, will come some bricklayers to repair the walls and roofs from the houses of the village. My family has to repair the fissures of the house.

In TV has said that scientists couldn’t predict this disaster because it’s a zone which has never been struck by an earthquake. Yesterday was the first time.

I was very scared yesterday, but now, too. At night I can’t sleep because I think that an earthquake can happen again. I need to go out my village during some time
