A FIRE!

On 5th November 2015, my parents, my brother and I, were in Cambrils, in one camping. The fire was in a bungalow (it's a house in a camping) because, the bungalow is made the wood and one of the people, smoked and left the ''cigarro'' in the grass and the grass was dry. A lot of people went to the reception and told the other people, because these people smelt the fire and ran a lot, because a lot of the bungalows were on fire.
The people of the bungalows were angry because, they had a lot of things in there (clothes, telephones, money,...) The people who burned the first bungalow, paid the disaster and the other people went to another bungalow and bought a lot of things in Cambrils, because they didn't have clothes, food...  And my parents, my brother and I, gave food and clothes to the other people.
Finally, one family, came to my bungalow and slept in the sofa.
It was a disaster!

A CRIME

In 3th October 2008 in Roma 7:00 pm, the police arrived at the famous museum Fasfalet. On the floor of the museum were found dead. The man who found himself on the ground was the man who worked for museum security. The police investigated and found clues.

In November the police found a man and they closed him in the prison for having killed the safe. The name of the guard was Robert.

The man who killed Robert confesses that it was he who had killed him.

Then, finally, Rodrigo Poste was sentenced to twenty-five years in prison for his cause. But he died after 6 years of càncer. 

AN EVENT

On 25th of July 2012, my family and I were sitting on the sofa to take some rest when my dad, who is a firefighter recieved a call and he had to go to put out a fire that was happening in a town twenty five minutes from ours.

He told me that the fire happened in a house because a men who was living at the house tried to kill himself by burning himself. 

At first, when firefighters arrived, they entered to the house to try to find the men and he hadn't died but 50% of his body was burned. Then, firefighters started trying  to put out the fire but that was really difficult because the house had a lot of stages and it was difficult to get on the last stages. Finally, they could put out the fire after many days trying that.

But it was not all good news because the men died because of all his injuries. People from all the town was desvastated because they all knew the men who died and described him as a happy person. 

CHRISTMAS

Last 24th decembre, people were celebriting Christmas in their houses. Christmas is an annual festival commemoring the birth of Jesus Christ. In my house, my family and I, were celebriting in the house from my grandfather. In Christmas all my family went a dinner with my granfather, my cousins, my brother... I dinner soup with meatball and roast lamb, and for desserts nougat and chocolates or cake and nut cake... At night, Santa Claus brought present with my family and I. We opened the presents in the morning.Santa Claus brings chocolate, candy ...

Sant Miquel

Sant Miquel

Sant Miquel is on 8th of May. Is a tipical traditional party of la Pobla de Segur. Sant Miquel it's the patron of Pobla.

Every year some people of Pobla went to Sant Miquel to distribute some bread for bless. At twelve o'clock the priest of Pobla preached and sang the "Goigs de Sant Miquel". Then the priest bless the bread. After that our people danced the tipical dance of Catalonia "La Sardana" and went to  turned a candle. The students of 4th d'eso made a bar to collected money.Then the people went to the old church for visited and after  people went to had lunch with friends, always in Sant Miquel. The tipical food of this party is paella, lamb, different meet and the bless bread and for a desert some ice creams, fruit... At six 0'clock my friends and I, went to the swim but at eight o'clock all the  people down Pobla and they went to had a party in "Plaça de l'Arbre" . Years ago, this party was religious, but now this party is religious from some people. 

In my opinion Sant MIquel is a great party  from la Pobla de Segur , because (*) is a religious party and (*) is  for all the ages . This party is great and private.

LA FERIA

Last summer, I went to Frailes, Andalucía, to visit my family. I was there fifteen days, but three of them were special because there was “la Feria”. It was the 31^st July, the 1^st and the 2^nd August. The purpose of this event is that people have fun. All the residents and people of neighboring towns came there because it’s a fun event, where everyone has a great time. Why? Because there were a lot of extraordinary activities during those three days.
The first day, a cycling tour around the towns near Frailes was prepared, that started in the Ferial, a big place where important events and all the activities during the three days are often celebrated. My cousin and I were two of many cyclists. While cyclists were riding their bikes, some organizers were preparing the activities and the others were putting the merry-go-round, some inflatables beds…
The second day, in the morning, there was a watermelon competition. In this competition, the winner was the person who ate more watermelon during a certain time. It was a really joke, all the spectators laugh. Then, in the afternoon, there were two other competitions. One of them was for children. It was a spinning top competition. Organizers decided to do that because that summer children played a lot with spinning tops. While children were participating in the competition, old people were playing boules. And finally, during all the night, there was a football tournament.
And the third day was the best for me, especially at night. In the morning, the most athletic people formed teams to play a padel match. The afternoon was very scheming, because the mayor announced the name of the winners of each competition. And finally, to finish that event, la Feria, all the people who wanted, dressing Sevillanas and they danced to the rhythm of the music. 
Every year, my cousin and I wear a beautiful dotted dress, but last summer we didn’t because she didn’t want to :’(
And this is my best and funniest event, la Feria of Frailes.

ELS RAIERS

Raiers is on the  first weekend of July.

My town realises a lot of events and there are a lot of things to do those days.

Some people dress up with Raiers dress. It's so basic.

Girls wear a white basic T-Shirt, a special skirt with Raiers special decoration and obviously, special shoes, named "vigatanes" and a kerchief with Raiers own decoration and if you want you can wear the same kerchief on your hair! Girls with that costume are so beautiful!

Raiers begins on Friday afternoon, people often go to Pedrera Square and if they want they dance people dance Raiers own song. A lot of people from Pobla can do that but not a lot do that! I danced the song one year and it was embrassing! I won't do it again!

Oh, I was forgetting how handsome the boys are with Raiers clothing.  It's more basic than girls'. They wear a modern white shirt, a blue/black jeans and the special shoes "vigatanes". Some Raiers wear a "barretina" which is a tipical hat from Catalonia. But real Raiers mustn't forget the "faixa". It's 

On Saturday morning you can walk 17 km or run 23 km by the mountain. This race/walk is named "Espardenyada". I walk 17 km every year since I'm 12. The first year (which) I went there  with my dad  I said I was not going to do it again because I really got tired! But (*) second year I did it again but this time with my friend Jana and my dad. This year was a little bit different because I went walking with my mother and two of her friends. I didn't got tired so much but I had very fun as always! 

Sunday is the most important day and the last of Raiers. There's a lot of expectation in Noguera River! That's because the "rais" are coming. The "rais" are made by trunk that men pick up along the year. I'm gonna do a fast definition: They are trunk bound with hazel good limb. I know it's a bit strange. Raiers get on the "rai" and they go over Noguera River. It's not as easy as you may think, they must work so hard rowing (I forgot it! Rais make special oar. It's made by wood! It's difficult to make). Because if Raiers don't row, they can break the "rai" up because it can crash over the rocs and if it happens "rai" will sink.

I really like this festivity.

St JORDI

St Jordi is the patron saint of Catalonia and it’s the day for the people in love, too. All the people in cities, towns and villages from Catalonia celebrate this event. There are many interesting activities to do. Some people celebrate this event doing theatre, others sell roses and books… Saint Jordi has got a tradition. When two people are in love, the boy has to buy a rose and then give to the girl, and the girl has to buy an interesting book as a present to the boy.

In my school, we celebrate St Jordi. All the morning we do a language’s gymkhana. We do some activities with Catalan, Spanish, English and French. Then we have breakfast. You can buy the breakfast in a stall of 3^rd ESO. All the money they do, is for the travel of 4^th ESO. After the playground, we do a festival. All the students can do something, if they want. You can sing, you can dance, you can do a little theatre, and you can recite poems… The teachers of Catalan, Spanish, English and French, give the prizes of the narrations we presented some weeks before. After that we have lunch together in the playground of the school.

My family and I, when we finish the school, go to a library shop, we look the books and after that we buy some ones.
