The persistence of Memory

The persistence of memory is a 1931 painting by artist Salvador Dalí, and is on of his most recognizable works.
The well-know surrealism piece introduced the image of the soft melting pocket watch.
It epitomites Dalí's theory of "softteness" and "hardness",wich was central to his thinking at the time.
Was painted oil on canvas.
In the painting, four clocks are promently on display in an otherwise empty desert scence. While this might seem uncanny enough, because the clooks are not flat.

My grandmother

My grandmother is very special for me, because when I was a small girl it was she who acompanied me to the school, who prepared me the breakfast every day,and who dressed me.
She was affectionate with me, and every day I went with her to ride a fase.
When we became from the country, she helped me with homework.
I think my grandmother would be special for me, but she died when I was nine years old.

AN INVENTION

Now, more of a than 60% of the population has a mobile phone.
The mobile phone has changed the form in which we work and we live our lives.
Every time thre is more people than it that uses the mobile phone to work.
One of the main advantages of the mobile phone is that you can call to any part of the world.
Another advantage is that you can always be located with this device if you have any emergency.
I really think that it is a great invention, acording to the use thatwe want to give to phone.

A letter: My trip to Asturias

Hi!

How are you? This weekend, I camped with my friends in a landslide in Asturias. It was near the capital city, Oviedo. It's such a quiet place.

That's so far away from here so, when we arrived, it was already dark so we decided to have something for dinner because we were so hungry.
We made some sandwiches in the tent and we went to sleep early because next day would be a tiring day.
On Saturday. we woke up at seven o'clock. to start a 22-km route through the mountains.
The first hour was so tough because there were a lot of high ways but the other parts weren't that  tiring.
In the afternoon, we decided to rest.
On Sunday, we picked up everything from the camping and we caught a bus to spend the morning in Oviedo, where we would catch a train to come back home later in the afternoon.

Definetly, it was the best weekend I've had this year. We will try to go back there next year because, for now, we are planning other trips to another countries.

Kisses,
Clàudia

A medical discovery: PENICILIN

Penicilin was discovered by Alexander Fleming in 1928. It was considered the fist antibiotic ever and the most used in worldwide.

Fleming left his laboratory for two weeks and left bacterial cultures that he was studying. When he came back, he realised one of his dishes had grown. While he was trying to random them to kill the bacteries by sinking them in a lysol back. A mold was growing up and it had destroyed the bacteries.

It was important to cure a lot of infections or ilnesses like syphilis or pneumonia. It's demonstrated that without penicilin, now a days, there would be so much more deaths due to ear ache, stomach ache...etc. These diseases are very easy to cure today.

Today, anthibiotics can just be taken with a medical prescription because if you digest it more than you need, you will can die or you'll have bad diseases.

E-MAIL

Hi Simona,
How are you? We missed you last month! We went to California. It's a beatiful city! We were there 15 days.

We visited a lot of places, like the nacional park, San Diego, Gran Cañón del Colorado,... But in my opinion what I like the most is the beach of California because in this beach I saw a theme park and there I took lots of pictures. Carlota and I met a lot of people, Sara who is from Costa Rica but was there because sht studies in San Diego the same as Paula. One night we went out to Pastors discoteca and we met a lot of people.

We had great fun and we want to go again next year. Do you think you will come? Keep in Touch, ok?
See you!
